This is the second time I have been on venlafaxine and I tolerate it well.  For me it works ok all the time you don’t miss a dose.  I did once and was suicidal within ten hours, it wasn’t nice at all, and that was taking the extended release formulations.  But all the while I take it it must be doing something because it keeps away the most darkest depressions.

Before I took this I was on citalopram 60 mg.  This was another very tolerable drug for me but some reason stopped working and I could slowly feel myself fall into a prolonged low mood.  My GP then started me on venlafaxine 75 mg which is then slowly titrated up by increments of 75 mg.  The top dose for depression is 375 mg.
